Fr. Brian Murphy and Anne Bardell are, co-founders of the Hopeful Catholics mission and co-authors of the book "A Message for Its Own Time." They bring a wealth of experience and dedication to their work.


After 50 years as a priest in parishes in northern England, Fr. Brian has transitioned from parish ministry to writing , focusing on interpreting the Holy Spirit's messages to the Church today. His writings emanate a profound spiritual depth drawn from his life experiences and scripture.


Anne Bardell, supported Fr. Brian as Catechist and Pastoral Assistant for 32 years. She has interacted with individuals at all stages of Catechisis, from children to adults, seasoned Catholics to newcomers.

Her insights stem from her involvement in many different Church activities and continue to reflect her extensive experience in facilitating lay formation within the Church.

Anne's qualifications are: B.Div, M.Ed, Lic.Div (Cat). (Bachelor of Divinity, Master of Education, and Licentiate of Divinity in Catechesis).
